What is considered Pre-Existing Conditions? Any Injury, Illness or medical condition (s) which meets any of the following criteria will be considered as a Pre-Existing Condition (s): a) condition (s) that would have caused a person to seek medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment prior to the Effective Date of coverage under the Policy; 2) condition (s) for which manifestation, medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was recommended, received, or noticed prior to the Effective Date of coverage under the Policy.
Pregnancy Coverage There is no coverage for Pregnancy or Complications of Pregnancy, or expenses and charges related to Pregnancy, Pre-Natal care, Visits to the Physician, Hospital or Provider for Pregnancy and directly related services. Who determines if it is a Pre-Existing Condition? The Insurance Carrier TPA will look at the attending Physician’s Statement, past and present Medical Records, History, and the nature of the treatment and condition to determine if the condition is Pre-Existing. |
