How does the deductible work for a group plan? Whichever deductible you choose, from $0-$2,500, that is the dollar amount of eligible expenses that the group must pay per certificate period before eligible expenses are paid. If one person requires treatment and pays the deductible amount or more, any claims after that (outside of the U.S. or Canada) will be covered by the insurer at 100% of eligible expenses, within the same certificate period.
Do members of my group need to pass a physical exam? No, this plan does not require a medical examination of any kind. Premium costs and overall limits are determined based primarily on age, rather than health or condition specific to the individual.
Is group travel insurance cheaper than buying individual plans? Generally, yes, buying a group policy for travel medical insurance will cost less money per person, overall.
Is there a maximum number of people who can be on my group plan? While many plans limit participants to 25 people, Atlas does not have a cap on the number of people who can be insured under a group travel insurance plan. However, for large groups, you might want to purchase separate plans for different age groups, to maximize your policy.
